Fourteen student-athletes from Phoenixville Area High School attended the Live Like Blaine Foundation Captain’s Practice Leadership Conference on Monday, January 20 at Penn Charter.

The conference, designed for high school female student-athletes, featured guests speakers Jen Adams, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Loyola Maryland, and Shira Goodman, Executive Director of Ceasefire-PA.
Student leaders were nominated by their coaches and athletic department staff. The Phantoms in attendance included: Kendall Brown ’21, Samantha Brown ’22, Caroline Copeland ’23, Alyssa Cunningham ’23, Caroline Flick ’23, Courtney Gable ’21, Andrea Hook ’21, Chloe Johns ’21, Alana Lathan ’21, Jaime Michaud ’23, Kerri Mochnaly ’21, Erini Pappas ’21, Gianna Thaxton ’22, and Eloise Woodall ’21.

“The Live Like Blaine Foundation does a tremendous job inspiring and empowering young women to be leaders through athletics,” PAHS Athletic Director, Matt Gionta, said. “Jen and Shira were amazing speakers and our students enjoyed the day. We were certainly proud to have such a large group of Phoenixville student-athletes participate and special thanks to Girls Soccer Head Coach Stew Sherk for joining us on the trip. I’m looking forward to seeing our girls develop as leaders and to continue to have such a positive impact on the Phoenixville Area High School community.”
