January 24th – 29th: 2019-2020 Course Scheduling Core Course Recommendations

  • Core teachers have already entered their recommendation for core subjects, so you are only selecting elective courses. Please refer to the Program of Studies online for course descriptions, course weight, credit value, and prerequisites.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Potential Letters: College Board uses PSAT score data to identify students that have a high chance of succeeding in an Advanced Placement (AP) Course. Phoenixville Area High School has reviewed that report and mailed letters to students with high potential as indicated by College Board’s predictors. The PSAT results suggest that particular students will find AP coursework challenging, rigorous yet within their ability. AP Potential is designed to help students meet and exceed their potential. Students are also able to access their AP Potential data on their online College Board account.

January 31st-February 8th: Course Scheduling Elective Course Selection Window for 2019-2020 Year

  • All students will receive an elective selection sheet and instructions for Skyward in their alpha homeroom. This information is also available online through the PAHS Counseling Department website. The request form is for the student’s reference. The purpose is for them to see the courses that are available for their grade level. Students in the class of 2020, 2021, and 2022 will need to enter their elective courses in their skyward account during this timeframe. Students must enter the requests in their student skyward account; they are not able to access this using parent skyward accounts.
  • If a student does not know their Skyward login, they can stop into the Counseling Office and the secretary can provide them with this information.
