Building: Phoenixville Area High School
Classes Taught: German 3, German 4, German AP, Theatre Arts
Clubs: Theatre Guild Players, Cappies, German Club, Liaison for Photography Club
My favorite part of the HS Theatre Arts program is the Theatre Guild Players. This group of approximately 50 vibrant students meets weekly for a workshop. They plan and direct two student shows, the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in January and the 24-Hour Play in April. These productions are totally student run. Additionally, they are involved in the Cappies organization. PAHS students have been a strong members since 2006/7. They create nominations as well as awards at the end of the theatrical season.
Personal: Not only do I love the theatre and the arts, but my husband and I met on stage. I played Maria in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
at the German University I attended and
my husband was in a similar theatre group stationed in Germany. We are happy to have raised three children who also share our passion for - theatre, the arts, and languages (Mostly the German language, of course!).
